Happy 7 Months!
Liliana is 7 months old today!!! Wow..time flies!! She is wearing a dress that Grandma made her in this picture (thank you Grandma!). Isn't it cute!??! She's starting scooting around the floor, ready to crawl-but not quite there. Tonight, she made it all the way to the Christmas tree!!!! Her two bottom teeth with be here in time for Christmas-they have cut through, but aren't visible enough for a picture yet. I'm so excited...she's getting her "Two front teeth" for Christmas! Ha!! We are so blessed by this wonderful little girl!
Winter Wonderland
We enjoyed an evening of wonderful Christmas magic at "Winter Wonderland" at church tonight. Kevin is the official hayride man-so he was out in the cold all night-but don't worry, he was on a John Deere, so you all know he was so happy!!! Here are a few pictures of all the kids and fun! Liliana didn't get to ride on the hayride-Mommy said it was too cold and she fell asleep during most of the night, but did have time to pose for a picture on the John Deere! (Jennifer E--Notice "Granny T" in the bottom corner-giving away Graham's "sugar"!!!)

Christmas is Coming!
I know I haven't posted in a while.. I'm sorry. With the holidays, etc. I've just been having too much fun hanging out with Liliana! I decided to write tonight to let you know that Liliana is obsessed with our Christmas tree. She was sitting in front of it playing in the living room..and all of a sudden I didn't hear a sound from her (I was in the kitchen). I peeked around the corner and she was just staring at the tree... I've caught her doing this several times now. We are so blessed to be spending this Christmas with our daughter and I'm so excited about the holidays because she is with us! Just thought I'd share..I'll get some pictures here soon!

Twilight!
Okay...so I gave in (Amy!) ... I bought the book and I'm on page 20...haven't had much time to read it since I bought it. I really hope I can finish during the holidays (especially since you all said you read it in a day!!!!). So I was a little disappointed to hear that the movie wasn't as good as the book. Maybe I'll just read the book and worry about the movie later! I'm still not into the fact that it has vampires in it. Here's to happy reading!

Happy 1/2 Year!
I can't believe it but Liliana is 6 months old. She is such an absolutely wonderful baby-these past months have flown by! She's doing a great job sitting up and rolling back and forth these days. She's eating everything she can get her hands on. We still don't see any teeth, but there sure is plenty of drool to make us think they'll be here anytime now!!

Mommy's Must Haves...A Takeoff
So, my friend "The Pink Chick" Jennifer has a "Favorite Things" that she does each Monday on her blog. I love to come and check on Monday to see what she's highlighted each week. I'd like to steal her idea and blog on "Mommy's Favorite Things". Occasionally there are items that I find to be "Mommy Must Have's". Tonight, I found one of my new favorites!
Gerber Finger Foods "Biter Biscuits"--I've been trying to find Liliana something that she can eat while we are eating dinner. I am a big proponent of the "family dinner", however, with our little one this really has been a challenge. I couldn't figure out how to feed her and eat at the same time (great weight loss plan if I stuck to it by the way!). So, now I can feed her before our dinner and she can eat a "biter biscuit" during dinner! She LOVED them. We were finished eating and I was cleaning the table so I took what was left of her biscuit to throw it away and she was furious! I gave it back to her and she just laughed and put it back into her mouth. The only "con" I have to these is that they make a MESS. There was a serious amount of this biscuit on her bib, but they are a new must have in the Moon house! I'll be on the lookout for the next "Mommy Must Have".

A "Full" moon
It's official! Our adoption has been finalized and Liliana Grace is in our family forever! :) We finalized on Monday, October 27th. We celebrated the day by taking family pictures at the mall and making a special "Build-A-Bear" named "Bethany" (the name of our adoption agency). Although it doesn't change daily life in the Moon household, it is comforting to know that all the paperwork and not so fun parts of adoption are complete!
Crafty Mommy
I ventured out to my crafty side last weekend and made Liliana a dress!!! It's a cute and easy pattern and I made it in only about an hour. She even wore it to church the next day! I can't wait to get some Christmas fabric and give it another try (with some modifications after she pulled on the ribbons all day!)

The Return....
Today at about 4 p.m. (by the way it's a rainy, nasty day here), our neighbor's middle school son rang the doorbell. He's like "Hey, are you guys still missing your dog?" ....I was like..Yeah, but she's been gone for SEVEN days so I don't think she'll be back. He says.."We were out riding our bikes (He's ON his bike with a friend at my front door..in the rain).. and WE SAW YOUR DOG! She's down the street. So Kevin jumps in the car and returns about 5 minutes later with none other than..our wonder dog..LUCY! She's been gone for SEVEN days... and right now, she's resting comfortably with a full belly and probably feeling much better than she has in a while. I was amazed! I had honestly thought I would never see her again. I'm so happy she's safe and sound. So...Pirate Pug the wonder dog needs a Halloween costume. Any suggestions?!? Maybe I should make her a "Wonder Dog" cape! :):):):):):)

Happy 5 months!!
First, I apologize for not updating...life has been busy lately.
Liliana is FIVE months old today!!! Wow... She's getting so big..At the last Dr. visit (beginning of October) she weighed 15.2 pounds and is about 26' long!
I tried to compile a list of things she's done since I last updated....
--She's rolling over quite well...when she wants too that is...
--She's using her high chair all the time AND we have used the high chair when we were out to eat several times.
-- She sat in a buggy (shopping cart for those of you in areas other than the south) all by herself..well, with some help from a large package of wipes, so she didn't fall to the right...her favorite side to lean to I guess?!?
-- She TALKS..all the time!! It's really funny..she's been so quiet..but now she'll just start babbling on and on..and wants a response I must say!
--Along with the voice, has come some whining. For those who know Liliana well, you know that she just doesn't whine or cry usually..well, she's started whining a little--but if you look at her it turns into a laugh instantly...so funny!! :0
--We got to visit Kevin's family this past week and my grandfather. I'll try to post some more pictures of that soon.
--Wesley Jr. also came over to play! And, as you'll see from the picture..Liliana wasn't a very nice host! Well, she really was..but I caught this hilarious picture of her that looked like she was punching him! They both looked at each other and laughed quite a bit.. too cute!
-- We also had a visit with D., Liliana's birthmother, that was incredible. It was so great to see her and visit. Liliana laughed and smiled with her during lunch...it was precious and so important for D. and Lil'!
-- Lil' is eating...carrots, sweet potatoes (much to her father's dismay), and green peas (ugh!). Her favorite is most definitely carrots! She will eat them up in a heartbeat. Peas were not her fav. for the first few days, but she'll get them down now! She refuses rice cereal, but loves oatmeal!
That's probably about it for now. Happy 5 months to Liliana Grace!
Lucy...
On Friday morning, I let Lucy, our pirate pug, out just like I have been for four years. When Liliana and I got ready to leave and I still hadn't heard her bark to be let in, I went to find her. She is over 14 years old and sometimes doesn't bark or just stands close to the door instead of wanting to come in, but she never leaves our yard. Well, when I went to find her, she was no where to be found!! I searched the yard several times, called her, etc. I called Kevin and he came home and walked our neighbors yards and rode through the subdivision several times looking for her. We even called the pound several times to see if someone might have picked her up. We continued to look for her throughout the weekend. She is no where to be found..... We are sad that someone might have taken her from us, and only hope that she is in a safe place, whether it's someone's house or doggy heaven.... I would feel so much better off if I just knew where she was... Here are some of our favorite times with our pirate pug, who loved to sleep most of all, but also loved to dress up for Halloween! We'll miss you Lucy.....

I can "HEAR" clearly now....
For those of us who are around us a lot, you know that Liliana has been dealing with an ear infection for over a month! Well, after FOUR anitbiotics (2 of which were at the same time), she went to the Dr. this morning and got a "Clean" checkup on her ears! FINALLY!!! Although she didn't seem aggravated by it, I really hated having to give her so much medicine. I am so happy that it's over! Now, just pray it doesn't return!! :)

Carrots ...Yummy!!!
Lil' tried carrots for the first time today! She LOVES them! they are a little more messy than cereal, but so fun! Kevin even tried his hand at feeding her. The most exciting part of dinner tonight though, was that Lil' sat in her High Chair for the first time! (with a little help from some towels to prop her up!) Now... we just need to go buy some spot cleaner in bulk and we'll be set with the feeding!

They Call Him a Fireman...
So, this blog is usually about Miss Liliana, but today it's all about Daddy! Kevin got home from completing his "Mod 1" firefighter training yesterday. While he's been volunteering with the Salem Fire Station for about a year, he hasn't had time to complete the training while also starting his new business. SO-the past week and a half, he's been at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center, getting certified to be a volunteer fireman!!! I'm so proud of him--he passed all the test (even got to visit the paramedics for a few "tests"! ) and completed all tasks with a "live burn" situation. :) So --I'm married to a fireman! ...I've always liked a man in uniform!

Happy 4 Months!
GOOOOOO Dawgs!
Liliana experienced her first football game yesterday! She was a great fan... cheering on the team in her cute GA onesie, bib, and pacifier. Although, by the end of the game I'm afraid her interest was gone and sleep was necessary--then again, the same thing happened to daddy (Kevin) by the end of the game!
Family Pictures!
Last month, Hannah Brandau came to the house and took family pictures for us, as well as Liliana's three month pictures. So..Hannah's awesome and this pictures are incredible!! (can you tell how excited I am). Here are only a few of the pictures! Okay..i'm off to plaster my house with new pictures!
And my personal favorite.....

Football Friday Nights
I'm a little late posting about this, but definitely needed to share with you some pictures of Liliana's first football game! She had a great time watching everyone and seeing all of the band, parents, and staff! However, just before halftime, Kevin began to smell a slight odor and decided that Liliana was in much need of a diaper change. For those of you who don't know, Kevin has a bit of a weak stomach for diapers, so we've made a deal--he feeds Lil' at night and I change dirty diapers. BUT, this was just before the band went on the field for the halftime show and I couldn't leave to change her diaper so daddy was on call! "Aunt" Susan graciously offered to help Kevin on his diaper venture. Below, you'll see that Kevin found a great, flat spot to change her (the BACK OF A TRAILER!!!!!) and then had a little trouble with the weak stomach, which made for quite the laugh. I hope the pictures do it justice... Thanks Terry for making sure this was caught on camera! Lil' loved the game but was sound asleep shortly after she had a new, hopefully splinter free, diaper!!

Laundry Help!
Got some help with the laundry today! :) Although--most of the time she was eating the clothes instead of folding them... AND ..she fell asleep on the job! But --Oh! Liliana was having a good time playing in her laundry today!

Christening
We had Liliana's Christening on Sunday, August 17th. We were so very fortunate to have both Kevin's dad, Thomas, and our pastor, Ronny, to perform the ceremony. There were SO many friends and family there to support us. Thank you all for being there to show your love as we celebrated our wonderful gift from God. It was truly a blessed day! Of course, we had to go to Los Charros after church...and everyone had a great time hanging out and spending time with family. We are so blessed....
